Unguided AI is a tech-debt multiplier.
AI refactoring is additive by nature. Point an agent at a codebase whose internal logic is already compromised and it will faithfully extend the flaws — producing more code, more surface area, and more debt than any team can review at the speed it arrives.
The answer is not better prompts. It is delegation architecture: deciding what agents own, what humans own, and where the seam between them is enforced. Duplicative and shared coding work moves to agentic tools. Human attention moves up, to architecture, review, and closer conversation with the business groups the software serves.
That shift is what I am hired to design and to run alongside your team.
