Senior Front-End Developer
Maintained and extended the Connected Vehicles front end, adapting one modular React architecture across four automobile manufacturers.
Context
SiriusXM's Connected Vehicles platform ships into cars from multiple manufacturers, each carrying its own integration requirements, all on top of a single shared React codebase.
What I owned
- Maintained and created front-end code on a modular React-based architecture
- Adapted the codebase to integrate with automobile OEMs including Hyundai, Acura, Stellantis, and Toyota
- Managed application state with Redux, React Query, XState, and React Context
- Provisioned AWS services through SAM templating, including API Gateway, Lambda, and Secrets Manager
- Wrote unit tests with Jest and React Testing Library, and interfaced with back-end teams on API endpoint integration
Outcome
One architecture serving four OEM integrations, with state management and test coverage able to absorb the next manufacturer without a rewrite.
The role ended in a company-wide layoff.
